Play PinBall with Mind Control (CeBIT 2010)
The Berlin Brain-Computer Interface (BBCI) recently developed and demonstrated at the CeBit IT fair 2010 in Hannover a brain-computer interface system that allows an individual to play pinball completely by thought! That’s right! Completely hands free! Not only is pinball being played on the screen, it is actually hooked up to an actual old school physical pinball machine!
As this technology continues to develop not only will we be able to play new games with only our thoughts but it’ll be a whole new way to play our favorite older games!
There are definitely future applications of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) beyond just the gaming and entertainment industry. Imagine the physically disabled being able to walk again or replace a lost limb. It’s mind blowing!
The world’s first ever Immersive Technology Summit will be held at the Los Angeles Center Studios (LACS) on October 21st, 2010.
