Experience is the new reality! This video isn't your everyday typical video. It take a look into how communication has changed in the past and how it could change in the future. You will see elements of different kinds of immersive technologies coming into play as communication advances. Selling of memory and experiences become an everyday thing. Live a thousand lifetimes by purchasing experiences. We could even one day save the lives and experiences of our great thinkers, famous leaders, or the horrors of war experience and be able to learn from them without having the need to make mistakes ourselves. My favorite part of the video is where they say "Google Buys Microsoft" Ha! The future will be interesting, I wonder how close it'll turn out like this video. Take a look!

Imagine a world where we are free from physical constraints, where we can shape and bend our environment to our will like in a dream. Imagine a world where hardware or software is not the bottle neck to creation, but the only bottle neck is our own imagination and creativity. This is ultimately the vision of ImmersiveTech we exist to promote the development and adoption of immersive technology so that we can expand on our human potential.
Victor Hugo once said "nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come." At ImmersiveTech, we believe that the time has come for physical and digital convergence. We believe that with help from our supporters we can create a central, unbiased community to advance the human experience through immersive technology.

Honda, ATR and Shimadzu jointly develop Brain-Computer interface technology enabling control of a robot by human
thought alone. Think of all the practical applications! Rather than having to program robots to do what you need them to do you can just think it. Granted ideally we'd like to see robots with AI, but in the meanwhile robots controlled by your mind would be quite helpful. Take a look as Honda demostrates ASIMO reading this man's mind!

Brainball is Smart studio's (The Interactive Institute Sweden) first completely hybrid research project game. The players move a ball on a table by the sole use of their brainwaves. Encouraging competition through relaxation, the game objective is to score a goal on the opponent's side with the least possible action. The players' brainwaves control a ball on a table, and the more relaxed scores a goal over the opponent.
They are using Emotiv's headset here to interpret the brainwaves but I am curious as to how the results is translated into actual actions. Perhaps some kind of magnetized system underneath the table? Anyone care to make a venture?

The patient is controlling his cannon by using both real and imagined hand and tongue movements. The signals are recorded from the surface of his brain, known as electrocorticography (ECoG), and the cortical changes that are associated with his motor intentions are detected by a computer and converted to machine commands (i.e., moving the shooting cannon).
This is just another example how BCIs (Brain Computer Interfaces) are creating new ways to enjoy old games. Granted the game is really simple but even the most complex games we have today started out simple and increased in complexity. We'll have to get these simple games to work well with BCI first before we move on to more complex games. However, it is important to keep in mind that every journey begins with a first step.
