Ever wish you could see how your house or office building might look off the drawing board and in the actual neighborbood? Well, take a look! This lot is empty except for the world’s largest augmented reality marker. Amazing! As a towering skyscraper flickers to life in its place. The record-setting AR marker is Guinness-certified! This project was dreamt up by architects at Konigsberger Vannucchi, a Brazilian firm that wanted to give potential clients an augmented taste of what their proposed Fibrasa Connection development would look like. The result: a 360-degree, 3D rendering that beats the heck out of a pile of blueprints being shuffled around.

Think Rock Band is cool? Then you totally have to check this view out. This is how Freddiew envisions how a rhythm game might look like in the future. Here the rock and roll classic "Noob Slayer" is being played with an simulated overlay of Augmented Reality. Augmented reality meets rhythm gaming! No more glancing back and forth at your instrument and trying to match what is happening on the screen. With augmented reality, everything is overlayed for you right on top of the real world. If things were to get any easier, the game would play itself for you! This is just another awesome example of what augmented reality and immersive technology can do to improve well... just about everything!

Imagine a world where we are free from physical constraints, where we can shape and bend our environment to our will like in a dream. Imagine a world where hardware or software is not the bottle neck to creation, but the only bottle neck is our own imagination and creativity. This is ultimately the vision of ImmersiveTech we exist to promote the development and adoption of immersive technology so that we can expand on our human potential.
Victor Hugo once said "nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come." At ImmersiveTech, we believe that the time has come for physical and digital convergence. We believe that with help from our supporters we can create a central, unbiased community to advance the human experience through immersive technology.

Musion Eyeliner is a high definition 3D holographic video projection system allowing a spectacular 3-dimensional moving life-size hologram to appear within a live stage setting using Peppers Ghost technology. Eyeliner brings dramatic, previously unseen 21st century video film effects to live events, including audiovisual artistic performances, conference or trade show presentations, retail displays and large-scale digital signage. Musion Eyeliner uses a specially developed foil that reflects images from high definition video projectors, making it possible to produce virtual holographic images of variable sizes and incredible clarity, using industry standard software. Infinitely configurable, the virtual hologram appears within a stage set. Take note that there has been no post production editing with this video so what you see is an uneditted live recording. Pretty trippy I would have to say and fun to watch!

Three Christie Roadster HD18K DLP projectors were used for the first-ever transmission of live, interactive 3D holograms from London and Montreal to Orlando, Florida from June 17-19, 2009. The interactive transmission process is known as Musion Live Stage telepresence and offers a new way for people to holographically communicate face-to-face in real time, crossing the boundaries of geographic distance.
This clip does a pretty good explaination of how their projector technology works, however, this is not the only method to holograms. Hopefully we'll start seeing a convergence of these different hologram technology to be streamlined into mainstream industry which will then drive the cost down and make it affordable to the everyday consumer!
