it actually pops up in real life, pretty amazing huh?

  • massore1980

ok so does this really pop up in real life or can you only see it on a screen or through some special glasses?

I’m thinking virtual reality. Put on the goggles ( or in the future… push the button on the side of your head) and you’re there!!

I don’t know what augmented is, but I’m checking it out……….. now!!!!!

  • rikhanz

    nice, very nice

  • Niko381

I think you are mistaken.. although it is in fact a high relief map, it does not mean augmented as in an augmented map, but that this map is rendered in augmented reality.. basically the map you’re looking at in the video, isn’t actually there.

probably not too far off from what we will see soon. the technology exists, it just has to be adapted.

awesome. You could have some kind of glasses with screens on them, and two cameras, then you could see this in real life.

you the game eye of judgment this pretty much the same technology it analyzes the picture then puts a 3d image on the screen awesome ain’t it :) ?

    i think it’s just cool…

  • jroddimus

Interesting. How is this intended to be used? Has this an applicable purpose, or is this a proof of concept for use with future technology?

  • kuprikov

what is it on the map?

  • http://www.mydomain.com fightingfarmer001

The technology is real, the image is virtual, which is the point.

An imaging device is used to track definable points on a grid or on a single point, and software is used to place a virtual object over this tracked point, essentially putting the object “into” the real world. Though, this can only be seen through a monitor, camera or head mounted display.

But yeah, you wouldn’t actually be able to see the map with just your eyes, that technology doesn’t exist quite yet…:)

  • auronx223

no its not real. but cool

  • xragecagex
