Honda – Develops Brain-Machine Interface
Honda, ATR and Shimadzu jointly develop Brain-Computer interface technology enabling control of a robot by human thought alone. Think of all the practical applications! Rather than having to program robots to do what you need them to do you can just think it. Granted ideally we’d like to see robots with AI, but in the meanwhile robots controlled by your mind would be quite helpful. Take a look as Honda demostrates ASIMO reading this man’s mind!
The world’s first ever Immersive Technology Summit will be held at the Los Angeles Center Studios (LACS) on October 21st, 2010.
